To study this subject, you'll need at least a Grade 6 GCSE in English Language.

What will you learn?

In A-Level Media Studies, you will explore how media products are created, represented, and consumed, analysing everything from film and TV to social media and advertising.

Course Components

A critical understanding of the media through engagement with media products and concepts, and through the creative application of production skills.

Exploration of production processes, technologies and other relevant concepts.

Become independent in research skills and your application to your production work, as well as develop your own views and interpretations.

Produce coursework, which represents 30% of the A-Level assessment framework.
