Our Motivations

We believe that when parents and the school work as a cohesive team, girls receive richer, more holistic support and thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Voluntary community efforts bring vitality, innovation, and responsiveness to the school environment.

Supporting a girls’ school that nurtures confident, considerate, and intellectually curious young women motivates us to contribute meaningfully.

By volunteering, fundraising, and collaborating, we build not only for the present but for future generations of EHS students.

Strong parent-school engagement fosters community, strengthens student wellbeing, and enriches the overall culture of belonging and possibility.

Committee & Volunteer Testimonials

Surinder - Committee Member

"I joined the EHSPA when my daughter joined in kindergarten. Volunteering at events has been so rewarding, my daughter is filled with pride knowing, her mum supports the school and events the PA put on. Supporting the events by providing my time to fundraise, provides the girls with items the school budget does not meet, such as the balance bikes, playground equipment, books, year 6 leavers books and other educational equipment. I do enjoy the fact this school is allowing parent to build a community that support the girls in every way possible. By volunteering a few hours a term make a massive difference, it brings happiness to the young girls we see when events are held and created for their enjoyment. We look to do more and are happy for you to reach out and support us with your time for the benefit and future of the girls at EHS."

Somia - Committee Member

"I joined to help share the load among parent volunteers and support the school in a practical way. With busy drop-offs and pick-ups, it’s not always easy to get to know other parents, so being part of the Parents Association has been a great way to feel more connected to the community. I also think it matters that our daughters see us getting involved. Volunteering sets an example about contributing and showing up. I work in youth charities, so many of my skills are directly transferable. It’s been rewarding to use that experience to support the school in a meaningful way."

Lucy - Committee Member

"Volunteering with Edgbaston High School Parents Association (EHSPA) has been one of the most rewarding of ways that I’ve become more involved in my daughters’ school life. I have two girls in Prep, and the pride they feel when they see me helping at events or supporting the second hand uniform sale makes it completely worthwhile.
I’ve also been genuinely impressed by the scale of fundraising and how much of it goes straight back into the school. The second hand uniform sale alone regularly raises significant funds, and it’s a brilliant example of practical support that benefits so many families.
Volunteering has given me the chance to meet other parents and girls from across the year groups, and it always leaves me with a real sense of pride and purpose. Even giving a couple of hours once a term makes a meaningful difference.
If you’re considering getting involved, I’d strongly encourage you to do it. It supports the school, strengthens the parent community, and sets a powerful example for your daughters."

Radha - Committee Member

"My involvement with the school began when my daughter joined Nursery, and since then I have been actively supporting in many different ways  from fundraising initiatives to helping organise events and strengthening parent engagement.
Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful parent involvement can be. Whether it’s coordinating events, supporting communication, or helping ensure smooth planning behind the scenes, every contribution makes a difference to the girls’ experience.
I’m passionate about creating structure, transparency and teamwork within the Parents’ Association. I believe when parents feel informed and included, we build a stronger, more supportive community for our daughters.
For me, volunteering is not just about helping at events it’s about long-term commitment. Watching My daughter grow within the school while knowing I’ve played a small part in enhancing the environment around her has been incredibly meaningful.
I truly believe that even a few hours of support can create lasting impact, and I warmly encourage other parents to get involved in whatever way they can."
