For those who enjoy maths, the AQA Certificate Level 2 Further Mathematics course is equivalent to a GCSE qualification. Although this will support your future studies, there is no requirement to take this course to study A level Maths or Further Maths.

Course Content and Assessment

This course is suitable for learners who are already achieving a top grade in their Maths assessments and are on course to achieve a grade 8 or 9 in the IGCSE course.

Course Details

This course is offered as an extracurricular opportunity and it is taught in lessons, one of which takes place at 8am before school and one during a lunchtime. Students who opt in to this course are expected to complete independent work each week so considering workload is an important factor when opting to take this course.

Paper 1 – Non-Calculator (50% of final mark)
