Successful Launch of the Holiday Club!
26 February 2016
Last week's half term holiday saw the launch of EHS's very own Holiday Club and we're pleased to report that it was a resounding success!
From 8am until 6pm, our newly-appointed Holiday Club Manager, Alex Sanzari, provided a range of activities and theme days to entertain and capture the girls' imagination. The weather was very kind to us and allowed a trip to the Botanical Gardens next door where we joined in with a Bug Hunt in the fabulous surroundings.
On Tuesday, and aptly tying in with the frosty morning temperature, the girls came dressed in their Elsa and princess dresses for a ‘Frozen’ theme day. During the day’s activities, a life-sized drawing of Elsa and Anna was coloured in, princess tiaras and wands were made, and ‘Olaf’ was created using marshmallows. Artificial snow was magically created - which was a delight for the girls - and glitter snowflakes were hand-crafted to complete the icy scene. The afternoon provided relaxation time for everyone as they settled down to watch the Disney film and reflect on their ‘Frozen’ day.
Arts and Crafts played a big part in the week’s activities with colouring and drawing stations, painting tables and even cake and biscuit decorating! Some girls enjoyed quiet time with members of staff just to sit and read the vast collection of story books, while others got involved with the games and dancing. Photographs taken during the week can be seen in the image gallery below.
We are now making plans for the Easter Holiday Club, which will be open to EHS girls aged 2½ to 11 from 8am until either 4pm or 6pm so please do download the attached booking form to complete your requirements and email to Alex Sanzari: firstname.lastname@example.org
