End of term treats for Year 7

07 April 2017

Girls in Year 7 finish the Spring Term with an individual selection of holiday reading from the Library, along with ideas for sampling new authors. They have also been challenged to read a ‘surprise’ novel before the end of the holidays. First and lasting impressions of this reading adventure will be shared with their teachers in the English department later in the year. Members of Year 7 who have read fifteen or more Library books since September were rewarded with small edible prizes.

Students who enjoy discussing their favourite authors and books can now participate in the EHS Book Group, organised by Miss Jones-Owen. On Monday 3 April an enthusiastic group of girls gathered in the Library to discuss “Falling Leaves” by Adeline Yen Mah and “Holes” by Louis Sachar. There will be more book group meetings next term.

All girls at EHS can access the Library catalogue (database), which uses Eclipse software, for information and reviews about Library resources from RMUnify on the School network or with a free App, iMLSapp.
