A busy term for the Careers Department
24 March 2017
The Spring Term has been an exciting time as EHS has hosted two Careers Fairs. The first was held as an integral part of the Humanities Day on Wednesday 1 March. We were delighted to welcome a diverse mix of universities including Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham, Lincoln, Surrey, Cardiff and Cardiff Met, Manchester, Lancaster, Aston, Wolverhampton and Plymouth. Employers represented included Rolls Royce, Gowling WLG, Teach KEC consortium, Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, Dains, RSM, Wates, the National Citizen Service, Army, Navy and Air Force. The event was a great success and I would like to thank everyone who supported the event.
The second fair focused on studying abroad. Representatives from universities in Europe, USA and Canada offered advice to girls who were considering the idea of studying at a university overseas. Again, this was a well-attended event and I would like to thank the representatives for their time.
In addition, we were delighted to welcome Helen Jenks from Maverick TV recently who gave a talk on careers in media and television to girls interested in this field as part of our programme covering all career options.
If parents would like to get involved and speak to the girls about their chosen profession then please email email@example.com in the first instance.
