Beaming with Delight on A-Level Results Day 2026

This year we can report that an impressive 43.4% of grades were awarded A*/A and 75.5% of grades were A*-B. There was also a 14% YoY increase in the overall A* grades with nearly a fifth of students achieving straight As (A*/A) and nearly two thirds of students achieving all A*-B grades. These outcomes are a reflection of the students’ dedication and perseverance, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work.

With 93% of students securing their first-choice university (up from 91% last year), students will be progressing to a fantastic range of courses, including Medicine, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Law, Physics, Psychology and Costume Design, with destinations spanning the UK and overseas, including the United States and Florence.

We are also pleased to see some notable YoY subject specific increases in the percentage of A*/A grades achieved across Chemistry, D&T Textiles, English Literature and Geography. Furthermore, we saw another excellent year in Mathematics and Further Mathematics results, with 100% of grades awarded A*-B.
