Year Four pupils recently represented the school in the First Mathematics Challenge, a highly regarded national competition run by the Mathematical Association for children aged 7–9.
The challenge is designed to stretch young mathematicians through a series of thought-provoking problems that require careful reasoning, perseverance and resilience, as well as a secure understanding of mathematical concepts. The girls rose to the occasion brilliantly, tackling each question with enthusiasm, determination and a willingness to embrace difficult tasks. Their positive attitude and commitment to problem-solving were a credit to them.
We are delighted to celebrate their achievements and would like to offer special congratulations to Hanna, who earned a Gold Certificate. This outstanding result is a testament to her hard work, dedication and excellent mathematical thinking. Well done to Hanna and to all of the girls who took part in this exciting challenge.
