RAG Week at EHS
10 February 2017
All of next week, the House Captains and the Sixth Form Charity Representatives are running the Senior School RAG week - a week of exciting fundraising events for pupils to get involved with. Last year’s event was a great success and raised over £500 for Sunfield School in Clent.
This year the majority of our events will be raising money and collecting supplies for CLIC Sargent and Wellcat. Events include a loose change collection, newspaper collection, chip sale, Valentine’s Day bake sale and our own version of the popular panel show, ‘Would I Lie to You?’.
In addition, on Tuesday 14 February, there will be a whole school fundraising event in support of the local charity, Little Hearts Matter. We have chosen this charity as it has offered much support and guidance to a member of our school community. Girls will be asked to come to school wearing red in support of the charity and to give a minimum of £1 in order to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause. In addition to raising money we would also like to highlight the profile of the important work of the professionals who help in these medical situations. On Monday 13 February, Dr Edwards, one of our parents who works with very young cardiology patients, is coming to speak to girls in assembly.
We hope that you will encourage your daughters to get involved with this year’s RAG week events; it looks set to be an enjoyable week for all involved.
