Sixth Form Students Enjoy a Thrilling Day Out at Alton Towers Scarefest

After a busy and hard-working half term, the visit was a well-deserved reward and what better way to celebrate success than by conquering The Smiler or braving the haunted mazes that awaited after dark?

From the moment the coaches pulled into the park, excitement filled the air. Students wasted no time diving into the action, taking on every adrenaline-fueled ride Alton Towers had to offer. From the dizzying loops of Nemesis Reborn to the heart-stopping drops of Oblivion.

As evening fell, the group faced their fears in the Scare Mazes, where eerie encounters and jump scares added a perfect Halloween twist to the day. The laughter, adrenaline, and occasional shrieks could be heard long before everyone even set foot off the coaches!

It wasn’t just the students showing their courage, staff members were equally enthusiastic (and, at times, equally spooked!). Their willingness to join in the fun proved that fear truly knows no age limit.

Despite the thrills and frights, everyone’s behavior throughout the day was exemplary, a real credit to our Sixth Form students, who represented the school with maturity and enthusiasm from start to finish.

The trip perfectly captured the spirit of our Sixth Form: a community that balances hard work with friendship, fun, and shared experiences.

A huge thank you goes to all the staff who made the trip possible, especially Miss Purewal, whose organisation and planning ensured a smooth and memorable day for everyone involved. And, of course, thank you to our incredible students for their energy, positivity, and sense of adventure.

As the coaches rolled back home and stories of the day filled the air, one thing was clear, Scarefest 2025 will be hard to beat!
