On Friday 1 May, the senior school gathered in the Octagon for the annual Art Showcase assembly. This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all of the art work created by pupils in Y7–13 so far this year.
The Y12 showreel conveyed a strong sense of growing independence, with pupils presenting powerful photography and dynamic sequences of moving image created using After Effects. Large-scale canvas paintings were also displayed on easels around the Octagon, creating an inspiring gallery atmosphere for all to enjoy.

GCSE and A-Level work demonstrated how pupils had used their creative minds to develop highly individual projects, culminating in fantastic final outcomes that showcased both their talent and imagination.
The Art Scholars concluded the assembly by sharing their highlights of the year, as well as wishing Y11 and Y13 students the very best of luck in their upcoming art examinations.
