Year Five pupils have been exploring the fascinating world of the Aztecs in History Club, bringing their learning to life through creative projects and a themed feast.

Year Five pupils have the opportunity to join Miss Deacon’s History Club which meets every Friday.

Pupils attending learn about Aztec Civilisation through fact-finding missions, art projects and drama activities. They are also encouraged to share their new found knowledge with their classmates through presentations showcasing both their public speaking and computing skills. Members of the club enjoyed an Aztec feast last week!

They were offered tortillas, kidney beans, sweetcorn, mushrooms, honey, guacamole and tomatoes for their main course, washed down with delicious hot chocolate. There was even melon for dessert. Although the Aztecs also enjoyed feasting on green iguanas, hairless dogs and a great variety of insects we decided to give those a miss!
