Prep pupil, Parisa and her father took on an incredi'bull' challenge over the Summer to raise money for Birmingham Hospice
All summer Zia (Year One), Parisa (Year Three) and her father had enjoyed collecting the Birmingham bulls. Together, they came up with the challenge of doing all the bulls in a single day, using only public transport to get around.
Parisa and her father, cheered on by Zia, set off at 8:00 am and headed to Northfield to collect their first calves. They walked to the train station and took a train to Selly Oak and then a bus into Harborne. Next they came to Edgbaston village and then Brindley place the city centre and mailbox and on a train to Boldmere and Mere Green. They then headed back into the city centre, collected some more bulls and then trekked over to Millennium Point, Chinatown and then back to Brindley place to collect a bull that they had accidentally missed!
Parisa and her father finished with Floradorabull at the Botanical Gardens which is one of their favourite bulls. It was about 8:30pm in the evening. Together they had walked more than 40,000 steps – Parisa was such a trooper! She did not complain at all and had the most wonderful day with her father. Zia did not join the team for the whole challenge as she is a little too young but she did meet up with Parisa in Boldmere to collect the bulls there.
Parisa raised £867 pounds for Birmingham Hospice thanks to donations from friends and family. https://www.justgiving.com/page/john-branch-3#sharePage
We are all so proud of Parisa. She has certainly proved that anything is possible, even if other people think it is impossible or ridiculous!
