Edgbaston High School was delighted to attend this year’s Independent Schools of the Year Awards, where we proudly stood as finalists in the category for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice, a powerful acknowledgement of our ongoing journey towards meaningful change across the school community.

Representing EHS on the night were Mrs Macro and Miss Purewal, who joined fellow finalists at the prestigious ceremony held at the historic Law Society in Chancery Lane, London.

While the trophy wasn’t ours this year, being recognised alongside such notable peers was a moment of immense pride and celebration. The atmosphere was one of inspiration and shared purpose, a reminder that real progress comes not from accolades alone, but from being part of a wider movement for change.

We may not have left with the award in hand, but we left energised, encouraged and more determined than ever. With continued passion and progress, perhaps next year we’ll return as winners!
