In Religious Studies, we proudly present the Hayday Award each term in memory of Miss Hayday, a much-loved member of staff who brought warmth, passion, and insight to EHS.
This award is given to a GCSE Religious Studies student who reflects the spirit and character that Miss Hayday shared with everyone around her.
Miss Hayday had a wonderful gift for stretching students’ minds and encouraging them to think deeply. She also had a remarkable ability to notice and nurture those who might otherwise fly under the radar. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce that this term’s Hayday Award has been presented to Malaika R (Year 10).
Malaika demonstrates exceptional intellectual curiosity and consistently puts great effort into all her written work. In lessons, she contributes thoughtful ideas that enrich class discussions and help make learning lively and enjoyable for everyone. Her determination, positive attitude, and genuine enthusiasm truly shine.
Congratulations, Malaika! Your hard work and character embody the values that this award was created to celebrate.
