This term has been an exciting and successful one across all our sports at EHS, with students demonstrating skill, teamwork and exceptional commitment. Here is a look at some of the highlights from the Autumn Term.
Netball
Our netball squads have enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2025/26 season, showing impressive dedication in training and strong cohesion on court.
The U16 team continues to go from strength to strength, qualifying for the Regional Finals for the third consecutive year, an outstanding achievement. With Nationals firmly in their sights, the squad is now preparing intensively for the challenges ahead.
The U14s have also kicked off their campaign in excellent form, securing a string of victories in both league and cup fixtures. Their narrow one-goal loss to Wrekin College in the Sisters n Sport competition was a thrilling contest, and their performances throughout the term have been hugely encouraging.
Meanwhile, our junior teams have been making their mark with impressive wins over schools including Five Ways and Kings Norton. With such promising talent coming through the ranks, the future of EHS Netball looks incredibly bright.
Football
Football continues to grow rapidly in popularity at EHS, with pupils showing real enthusiasm and commitment in both training and fixtures. Although the team faced a narrow defeat to Bartley Green, they are developing quickly, with noticeable improvements in tactical awareness and technical skill each week. Spirits remain high as they look forward to their upcoming matches.
Swimming
It is an especially exciting time for Team EHS Swimming, thanks to the launch of a brand-new Swimming League this season. This initiative gives our swimmers more opportunities than ever to compete against top regional schools.
At the league’s opening meet at Oundle School, our athletes delivered a series of outstanding performances, including several first-place finishes.
We are also delighted to announce that EHS has once again qualified for the prestigious ESSA Relay Finals.
- Our Junior Girls placed 12th nationally in the Freestyle Relay and are first reserves in the Medley Relay.
- Our Intermediate team has qualified in both relay events.
EHS has now qualified for the ESSA National Finals every year since 2020, missing out only once in the past eight years, an extraordinary record that highlights the strength, depth and consistency of our swimming programme. We are proud to be recognised as a true swimming powerhouse.

With exceptional achievements across the board, our pupils continue to embody the determination and excellence that define EHS Sport.
