Monika Singh Gangotra joined us for Odd Socks Day on Monday to celebrate the launch of her latest book, Harmony House.
We were delighted to be joined by Monika Singh Gangotra for a special assembly on Monday to mark Odd Socks day and launch Anti-Bullying Week within the Prep School. Monika spoke passionately about the the reasons behind her desire to write a book for children highlighting the importance of listening if we are all to live together in harmony.

Monika spoke about the power of empathy and about truly listening to one another. She explained to the children that in a world that can often feel loud and divided, Harmony House is a tale which invites us to paus, to hear beyond the noise and to honour each other's differences. She encouraged the girls to embrace differences with open hearts and to be a power for good.
It was such a joy to welcome Monika to the Prep School. Monika is an award-winning children's author who had embraced 'Odd Socks Day' by wearing odd socks of her own. Her book is extremely close to her heart and it was clear that meant a great deal to her emotionally. The girls were overjoyed when Monika generously read the first few pages of the story and loved hearing that one of the characters, Mrs Singh, is actually based on Monika's own mother! We are so grateful to her for joining us for a special assembly and the girls cannot wait to find out what happens in the story next!
