Throughout the day, students enjoyed a fascinating variety of talks exploring how mathematics connects to the world around us. Highlights included discovering how Sierpinski’s triangle links to internet security, music, poker hands and even crochet - a brilliant reminder of both the creativity and the real-world power of mathematical thinking.
Alongside these engaging sessions, students also received valuable top tips for A Level examination success, offering practical guidance and welcome reassurance as they continue their studies.
After a full and inspiring day, the group returned home by train, buzzing with new ideas and having enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to explore Mathematics beyond the classroom.
