A group of A-Level Mathematicians, accompanied by Mr Rees and Mrs Lambert, travelled by train to London to attend Maths Fest 2026.

Throughout the day, students enjoyed a fascinating variety of talks exploring how mathematics connects to the world around us. Highlights included discovering how Sierpinski’s triangle links to internet security, music, poker hands and even crochet - a brilliant reminder of both the creativity and the real-world power of mathematical thinking.

Alongside these engaging sessions, students also received valuable top tips for A Level examination success, offering practical guidance and welcome reassurance as they continue their studies.

After a full and inspiring day, the group returned home by train, buzzing with new ideas and having enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to explore Mathematics beyond the classroom.
