EHS proudly hosted its third Cognito Conference on Wednesday 10 December, offering a fantastic opportunity for our current Year 8 students to showcase and celebrate the independent, creative research projects they developed during Year 7.
The conference was exceptionally well attended, with parents and staff engaging enthusiastically, questioning, challenging, and debating with students across a wide range of thought-provoking topics. This lively exchange highlighted not only the depth and quality of students’ research, but also their growing confidence as effective communicators.
The event served as a platform for students to demonstrate the public-speaking skills they have honed throughout this year’s Cognito lessons. Through the programme, our students continue to develop essential skills, critical thinking, confidence, curiosity, and resilience, preparing them for success in whatever future paths they choose to pursue.
Reflecting on the event, Dr Rajp, who has led the Cognito lesson framework, said:
“We’re all incredibly proud of the work the students have produced. But even more, we’re proud of who they’re becoming: thinkers, problem-solvers, and confident learners.”
EHS extends its warmest congratulations to all Year 8 students for their hard work and professionalism, and offers sincere thanks to the parents and staff who supported and contributed to this inspiring event.
