We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics teacher who is passionate about their subject and understands the vital role that STEM subjects play in developing pupils’ intellectual curiosity and capability. The successful candidate will bring a dynamic and engaging approach to teaching, delivering lessons that inspire analytical thinking and a genuine love of Physics. 

​This position is full-time, starting in the September 2026. The successful candidate will be required to teach Physics across the senior school, from KS3 to A Level. An ability to teach Chemistry would be an advantage.

EHS Teaching Scale plus benefits including competitive DC pension scheme, fee remission and wellbeing package.

This is a full time permanent contract, starting in September 2026

The closing date for applications is noon on Thursday 2nd April 2026, although early entries are highly encouraged. Early interviews may be facilitated.

Interviews will take place at Edgbaston High School for Girls during the week commencing 13th April. Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview and will be asked to deliver a prepared Physics lesson.

At interview applicants must provide original documents to confirm their identity and right to work in the UK. The documentation required by applicants is listed in the Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy

Original certificates/licences will be required as proof of qualification. All other attributes will be assessed using the contents of the application form, at interview and with the professional references.
