I never fail to be delighted by the enthusiasm and love of learning demonstrated by our pupils within the Prep School.

From the youngest members of our community in Nursery, to our Year Six leaders, it is the pupils who are at the heart of everything that we do. Their eagerness to learn, their curiosity and their desire to be the best version of themselves, is inspirational. Through our EHS values, we encourage the girls to be aspirational, we celebrate excellence and model inclusivity. We see courage in action on a daily basis, not always in huge acts of bravery, but often in the little moments where pupils feel safe and supported and are brave enough to step outside their comfort zone.

Creativity has been in evidence across the school. Our Nursery girls have taken inspiration from the crisp, cold weather, Year Three have used digital technology to create Roman tiles and Year Four have been inspired by produce from our school allotment. Creativity has all been in action in the Music School; with our Christmas productions and Seasonal Celebration fast approaching, the fantastic Music staff have been busy rehearsing with the girls from our Prep Orchestra, to Year One & Two Choir and Guitar ensemble, to name but a few. The Christmas season always brings so much joy to pupils and staff alike and with the Christmas trees in situ this week, the excitement has been palpable.

With a Teatime Concert on Wednesday and the first mince pies of the season, Christmas is fast approaching. The girls who took to the stage whether it to be to play an instrument or sing a solo, demonstrated courage and excellence in abundance. It is no mean feat to perform to an audience, even if it is to family and friends. However, the girls rose to the occasion and it was a wonderful, informal celebration of music. Following the concert, I was particularly delighted to learn that Anushka, who treated us to a memorable performance of 'Do-Re-Mi', will be taking to the West End Stage in London in the New Year. Such an exciting opportunity for her and a testament to her hard work and dedication.

With the Christmas Tree Lighting taking place on Friday and the potential for a special visitor (Ho! Ho! Ho!), as we approach the final couple of weeks of term, I know the girls will continue to find joy in every corner of the school. And for the joy the girls bring, I am extraordinarily grateful.

Have a wonderful weekend.
