The science of toys

One topic Year 1 will be studying this term is toys. They will be finding out how toys have changed through history and looking at how they are powered, and the materials used to make them as part of their Science work.
On Toy Day, last Thursday they focused on their own favourites, writing fantastic descriptions of them, measuring them using a variety of objects and painting them in Art.
The girls all thoroughly enjoyed the day, especially the special treat of being able to take their toys outside at playtime, allowing sharing and imaginative play.
