Head's End Of Term Message

Preparatory | Senior School | Sixth Form | Laurels Association

11 July 2025

As the academic year draws to a close, it feels as though time has flown faster than ever. With the school now settling into a quieter rhythm, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the whirlwind of events that have filled these past few weeks. From concerts and performances to house competitions, Sports Days, picnics, trips, student-led talks and, the launch of our 150th Birthday celebrations.

We recently celebrated the achievements of our senior Prep and Senior School students with two joyful Prizegiving ceremonies. Mr Chitty, Chair of Governors presented awards to our brilliant Year 6 pupils and commended them on their outstanding leadership in the Prep School. We look forward to welcoming many of them into the Senior School and send our very best wishes to all as they take their next steps.

We also bid a fond and emotional farewell to our remarkable Year 13 students. They have been exemplary leaders, dedicated members of our community, and outstanding ambassadors for the school. They leave with our admiration, gratitude, and warmest wishes for the future.

We also said goodbye to some teaching staff in our Final Assemblies:

While the summer break is always a welcome pause, my thoughts are already turning to the year ahead. I look forward to welcoming both new and returning pupils and staff in September, ready for the opportunities and experiences the new academic year will bring.

Wishing everyone a restful, joyful, and well-deserved summer break.
