Celebrating GCSE Success at EHS
21 August 2025
There was a real sense of joy and celebration at Edgbaston High School this afternoon, as pupils, families and teachers came together to mark this year’s GCSE results. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as students shared their successes with friends and supporters who have been alongside them throughout their journey.
We are incredibly proud of the girls’ achievements. An impressive 30% of our students earned the top grades across all of their GCSEs – a reflection of their hard work, determination and commitment to learning.
Equally inspiring is the breadth of talent across the year group: half of our pupils achieved the highest grades in eight or more subjects, showing real strength across a wide range of disciplines. At the top end, a quarter of our students achieved grades 8 and 9 in eight or more GCSEs – a remarkable accomplishment that highlights the consistently high standards at EHS.
Headmistress Mrs Macro said:
"These outstanding results are a reflection of our pupils’ hard work and determination, supported by the encouraging and ambitious
environment we foster here at Edgbaston High School for Girls. We are delighted to celebrate their success and look forward to seeing all they will go on to achieve."
We are thrilled to celebrate these exceptional results and, even more importantly, the sense of community and support that shone through on results day. Congratulations to all of our students – we are so proud of you!
