Road Safety in the Discovery Den

This has been national Road Safety Week which has provided the focus for our Discovery Den for girls in Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception in Westbourne.
They have focused particularly on wearing seat belts, crossing the road safely and being aware of what is going on around them.

There is a car, a zebra crossing, a pelican crossing and various signs to simulate a real road inside the classroom. They have practised crossing the road safely at the different crossings and have made sure that babies are safely belted in their seats ready to go in the car.

The girls have also thought about people who help us keep safe such as a crossing warden, and also those we may need to help us if we have an accident, such as police.
