Geographers investigate the impact of tourism
13 January 2017
At the end of last term, Year 9 girls took a day to visit Stratford-Upon-Avon to investigate the impacts of tourism. Despite a cold start to the day, girls approached their fieldwork with enthusiasm: they completed land use maps, environmental surveys, traffic counts and questionnaires during the day.
Time was also found to thoroughly enjoy being tourists themselves, making the most of a sightseeing trip along the River Avon in a barge. Lunch (and a few hot chocolates to warm up!) was welcomed, before finishing surveys and returning to school to assess the data.
