News From the Head of Prep
04 July 2025
This week, the girls have been on fire! From our Year Two girls taking to the stage in the wonderful Octagon and demonstrating creativity with their incredible performance in our Minibeast Concert; the perseverance and inclusivity demonstrated on the sports field in our Prep Sports Day; our Year Six Science club demonstrating aspiration to pursue medical careers by dissecting hearts; Coding Club girls demonstrating excellence by scoring full marks in a National Coding Competition or our Nursery girls demonstrating perseverance to create sunny art work. Our girls have been fuelled up by inspirational teaching and learning and the results have been outstanding.
At this time of year, the days are jam-packed with exciting events and it has been wonderful to welcome our families into school to share so many of these with us. We have also welcomed many new families and girls to school this week with our Induction Evening and Move Up Day. With exciting building work planned for the Summer break, many of our girls have had to imagine what their class room might look like when we return to school in September. Our new Reception outdoor classroom area will provide free-flow learning opportunities and the refurbishment of our Year One & Year Two classrooms will help create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment for our girls.
Personally, I have absolutely loved the past week. I have experienced my first EHS Sports Day and it is one I will never forget. Witnessing the steely determination and competitive spirit of the girls was truly breathtaking. Our girls are fearlessly female, they are well prepared for a future without limits and I cannot wait to see what the remainder of the term brings.
Have a super weekend.
