20,445 8-10 year olds from around the world took part in the 11th annual Bebras Challenge; a competition which tests a student’s logical thinking skills.
Our Year 4 Computing Club practised their skills in the two weeks leading up to the challenge: many working independently at home to hone their skills. It was also very pleasing to see 28 keen Year 5 students, many of them former Computer Club members, give up their time before school and during playtime to complete the challenge.
We are pleased to announce 14 students achieved distinction and 14 achieved merit. We are also especially proud of Jessica H who was one of just 575 children around the world to achieve the maximum score on her challenge. She has been presented with a Best in School Certificate.
Over two thirds of our girls earned marks over the international average score and everyone who took part received a certificate and commemorative badge.
