Christmas in Westbourne

13 December 2019

Christmas has been a wonderful time in Westbourne. In the last few weeks the ‘elves’ have been very busy decorating the tree and they have given each door in the building an individual festive feeling.

The girls have been given the opportunity to enter the Usborne colouring competition and the winners were awarded a special book. They have also painted snowmen and penguin pictures, made Christingles, Joyeux Noel cards and written to Santa. In Nursery they even made snow and experienced the texture and cold temperature.

Girls have enjoyed festive art and craft in After School Care too. This week they have enjoyed a range of different activities on each special day. Mince Pie Monday found many girls cooking delicious pies, Tinsel Tuesday certainly sparkled and Woolly Wednesday saw Christmas jumpers galore on show.

Thursday was Party Day with fun and games, a visit from Father Christmas and a puppet show from Major Mustard. The week, and the term, have ended with Festive Friday. What a lovely way to end the Autumn Term!
