Year 9 Raffle for Teenage Cancer Trust

Senior School

05 November 2021

At the beginning of the term, we started brainstorming an idea for charity fundraisers as we had heard that Mrs Mooney was doing a marathon for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
This is a charity close to our hearts so we were keen to support too and came up with the idea of doing a raffle. We began by going round each of the Year 9 forms collecting sweets and chocolate donations and everyone was very generous. Then form charity reps went from form to form selling raffle tickets to raise money.
In total we raised £107, so we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who bought and sold tickets and the Year 9 students who brought in the chocolate. A big shout out to Nancy O’Neill and Charlotte Vaughan in 9B who managed to raise an amazing £50 in one day selling raffle tickets. In assembly the winner was drawn and the hamper was won by Year 9 student Sukhmani Khera.
