A Day of Growth Mindset Workshops

Sixth Form

03 February 2023

This week, students in Year 12 experienced an exciting day of workshops and talks to help develop their mind-sets, help them think about their future beyond EHS and refresh and further develop their exam technique.

After a delicious breakfast with Year 11 who were joining Sixth Form for the Sixth Form Taster Day, students met Rianna from Fix Up Seminars who gave a motivating talk about her journey through education.

The girls then split into two groups. The first group continued with Rianna, learning about how to build a Champion Mindset whilst the other students attended a talk with Old Girl Agnes Wilkes who has recently finished her degree in Criminology at the University of Nottingham and will be starting her masters after volunteering in South America. The girls were fascinated to listen to Agnes’ inspiring talk about her journey since leaving EHS and gave advice on making choices.

After lunch the students attended a workshop to help them to make sure they are 'Exam Ready' as well as a talk from former Head Girl, Fareedat Kenyon, who is in her first year at the University of Warwick. Fareedat had plenty of advice to share with students about her experiences at EHS and how she made her choice to go to university.

It was a very helpful and thought-provoking day for Year 12!
