The ups and downs of gymnastics!

On Wednesday 5 February, the EHS Under 11 team had the opportunity to participate in a Floor and Vault Friendly competition. The girls were very nervous and excited initially as the other schools started to arrive but then were able to perform with poise and elegance on the floor as well as demonstrating their controlled vaulting technique.
All of their hard work paid off as they were ranked first place in their category which was a very pleasing result! Luella, Florence, Samara and Olivia each received an array of medals for the different events as well as the gold for their overall team effort.
A few days later, the girls then competed in the West Midlands Floor and Vault Competition at Fenton Manor in Stoke. The standard was incredibly high with the winning teams
going through to compete at a national level. On this occasion, the Under 11 team were not selected but were keen to impress and show their skills. A super effort girls, well
done!
