Testing out Magnetic Forces

Year 8 students recently completed a two-week project to create a game of their own design based on the physics of magnetism. They were provided with a limited range of simple materials - just bar magnets, paperclips, and coloured card, but the added ingredient of their own imaginations resulted in an assortment of fun and attractive games with themes ranging from arcade classics to car driving, and sporting competition to space exploration.
The girls had a great time playing each other’s games, and found it a very enjoyable way to round off a fascinating topic.
