Saimah wins the West Midlands Young Active Citizen Award

We are pleased to announce that Saimah Zulfiquar in Year 13 has won the West Midlands Young Active Citizen Award. The current Award, organised by the office of John Crabtree OBE, Lord-Lieutenant of Birmingham, was aimed at students who have made a difference in their communities during this time of pandemic crisis. The students were required to write about the work they have done and to explain the importance of community support in this challenging time. Saimah was one of just 10 winners from around the Midlands, and will be presented with her award by a representative from the Lieutenancy in school later this year. Work will soon get underway to promote the next Award, which will be focused on activity in arts and culture in the West Midlands.
