Picasso Style Portraits

As part of their Art curriculum the girls in Year 5 make a study of portraits. They look at the work of various artists and styles, one of which is cubism.
This project began with ‘exploding’ photographs of themselves to experiment with rearranging facial features. This was good practice for creating their own portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso.
The girls looked at various paintings created by the famous artist and then used a variety of materials to create their own masterpieces.
These are definitely worthy of displaying in a gallery.
