Holiday Club Fun

Westbourne

12 April 2024

Many girls joined us at school for some fun days at Holiday Club over the recent break from school.

We love to be out and about as much as we can during Holiday Club but the very inclement weather made this more difficult on many of the days. We did however manage to visit both Prep and Westbourne playgrounds and did enjoy a morning at the Botanical Gardens in their adventure playground.

Whilst we were inside the girls were engaged in cooking activities and a range of different crafts. These included making pompom chicks, decorating shells and pebbles, painting and collage activities. There were many games and puzzles to do too.  We made full use of the school facilities with lots of games in the Gym, painting in the Prep Art Studio and a book based scavenger hunt in Prep Library to celebrate International Children’s Book Day.

In the first week, of course, there were lots of Easter and Spring based activities culminating in an Easter Egg Hunt and in the second week a pirate themed day provided a range of different activities including several pirate ships.

It is always lovely to see the girls making new friends in different year groups at Holiday Club and our pirate day gave some Year 3 and 4 girls a great opportunity to do this whilst they worked together to produce a play for all of us to enjoy featuring mermaids, sharks ad cannon fire!

The Easter Club finished with some party games with lots of prizes.
