Helping Father Christmas

Year 2 girls have come to the rescue of Father Christmas.
After hearing the devastating news that Santa had crashed his sleigh into an iceberg they have designed and made a vehicle for him to use on Christmas Eve in order to deliver presents to everyone around the world.
The girls studied different types of vehicles and then focused on learning about vehicle parts such as chassis and axle. Then they created a design plan and used this to make a vehicle from a wide selection of resources.
They learnt to be resilient when things would not stick and tried other forms of adhesive instead. The girls are looking forward to taking their Christmas vehicle home for
Father Christmas to borrow and magic to life on Christmas Eve!
