Green Fingers at the Ready

Now that the nights are lighter the Prep Gardening Club is back up and running.
Mrs Hobbs took some Year 5 girls to the school allotment with her on Tuesday evening, and they started their planting. They planted potatoes which will hopefully be ready to harvest before the summer holidays.
They also looked at the pond which the Sixth Formers have been revamping in their weekly enrichment activities. The Sixth Formers have also been designing and making contraptions that catch the Autumn leaves to avoid the pond being full of leaves. Mrs Hobbs has never seen the pond looking so good!
Our gardeners are looking forward to the new term ahead and we look forward to hearing more in the coming weeks.
