Flying high

On Tuesday 25 June, six intrepid Year 10 linguists attended “Flying High”, a day for language students organised by Business Language Champions, in collaboration with the Royal Air Force and held at RAF Cosford.
The day was designed to enable the girls to enhance their communication and teamwork skills by participating in different tasks, whilst honing their Spanish at the same time. Activities included a code breaking task (which we won!), a talk from the RAF about how they use languages, a Russian taster session and a teamwork activity that involved building a parachute. The girls were then required to give a presentation in Spanish about how they managed this challenge to a panel of RAF officers!
Miss Lopez and I were very proud of our team who conducted themselves with professionalism throughout and although they didn’t win the overall prize, they had a fantastic time trying!
