Let's get active! 100K in May

Senior School | Sixth Form

01 May 2020

This month, the P.E. department are challenging all pupils (and staff) to either walk or run 100km, or cycle 200km throughout the month of May. Pupils and staff will be awarded house points for taking part in the competition all month and we will be sharing weekly updates via Friday Headlines and our social media channels.

In order to take part, and earn vital house points, pupils will need to track the distance they walk, run or cycle on a suitable tracking sports app, such as strava or fitbit.

Pupils need to choose if they are going to take part in the 100km challenge or the 200km challenge.  If pupils are aiming for the 200km challenge they should be doing this on their bikes (and can also run to complete this distance). During their daily exercise, pupils are encouraged to track the distance they cover and then upload this data each week onto the co-curricular team so that it can be monitored. They can also let their P.E. teachers know how far they cover each week during their P.E. lessons.

At the end of the month, the total distance covered by the EHS community will be calculated and we will find out which house covered the greatest distance!
