Biathlete in Top Ten Finish

At the weekend Year 12 student Jemima took part in the British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships, an invitational competition that brought together all of the top regional competitors from around the country.
This time round she was required to complete the 200m swim before attempting the 1600m run and any concerns she had were unfounded. The change did not affect her performance or her times, and in fact, she was very pleased with her performance overall, gaining her first top ten finish. She equalled her PBs in both the swim and the run, and scored well over the gold standard 2000, winning her heat by quite some distance!
This has been Jemima’s eighth year competing at the Nationals, having qualified via two preliminary rounds - at Bath University and in Redditch - in order to receive an invitation to the finals.
