Year 9 bakers master the roulade

In Cooking Club this term our Year 9 bakers have been following in the footsteps of this year’s 'Bake Off' contestants and so far have made a batch of sticky Chelsea buns with various fillings, including cherries and, of course, chocolate.
Last week, the girls challenged themselves in handcrafting a stunning batch of lemon and raspberry roulades which, we are sure you will agree from the photograph, are all worthy of the famous ‘Paul Hollywood handshake’.
Very well baked, Indira and Davina Jagpal, Sidrat Javaid, Marie-Eve Kavanagh, Nikita Basandrai, Epper Xu, Jianying Han, Aishah Gauri and Pritha Das. Next week the girls will try their hand at baking spicy and sticky ginger muffins finished with a caramel and honeycomb topping. We look forward to sampling the results!
