Year 7 are outward bound!

Senior School

11 October 2019

Last week, girls in Year 7 embarked on a three-day residential trip to Kingswood Activity Centre. This year’s trip did not disappoint and, luckily for us, the rain held off.

With the weather on our side, the girls’ got stuck into a range of activities such as abseiling and the infamous and very muddy ‘Nightline’. After unpacking and familiarising themselves with their dorms, the girls enjoyed a hot meal and got wrapped up ready for movie night.

The second day was jam-packed full of more physical activities such as ‘Team Challenge’ and archery. With the second evening came a traditional campfire that gave us all an opportunity to sing our hearts out, and we even held an impromptu Disney ‘sing off’! Our efforts were rewarded with piping hot drinks and toasted marshmallows.

The activity trip is a highlight for girls in Year 7. As well as the opportunity to try out and develop new skills, the occasion also offers our newest cohort of Senior School girls the chance to bond with one another. It was clear from the laughter and the giggling on the coach home, that although tired, the girls had made many new friends and a wealth of lasting memories.
