Year 12 Honoured at GCSE Certificate Ceremony

In a formal ceremony on Wednesday night, Year 12 students were celebrated for their achievements as they were awarded their GCSE certificates. The event, attended by family and friends, served as recognition of the students' resilience, hard work, success, and determination throughout their academic journey.

Subject awards were also distributed to acknowledge outstanding achievements in specific subjects and commitment to the school over the past year. The list of winners showcased the diverse talents and dedication within the student body:

•    Hafsa Butt Science Award
•    Melissa Carson Zanah Baig Prize for History and Religious Studies
•    Poppy Couzens Outstanding Leader Award in Physical Education and Maths Award
•    Isabel Curry Sports Performer of the Year Award
•    Ecaterina Dima Horsman Cup for Public Speaking and Debating
•    Ruby Gayle MFL Award
•    Flora Gregory KS4 Graphics Cup
•    Renée Henry Salma Khan Cup for Fine Art
•    Siena Henry Caroline Lawrence Classics Cup
•    Zara Hiscock Senior Drama Award
•    Maia Kanagaratnam Sports Performer of the Year Award and Alison Bryant Cup for General Musicianship
•    Sanjana Raghavendran Senior Food & Nutrition Cup
•    Carmen Sánchez Diamente MFL Award

Adding a touch of artistic flair to the evening, Year 13 Poet Laureate Jaimie James composed and performed a beautiful poem. Additionally, guests and students were treated to two enchanting music performances by Alice Huo and Samantha Kwok, adding a cultural and artistic dimension to the celebratory occasion.

Post-ceremony, attendees had the chance to extend the festivities at a drinks reception, providing a more informal setting for further celebration and camaraderie. The overall evening served as a wonderful tribute to the accomplishments of the hardworking Year 12 students, reinforcing the school's pride in their collective achievements.
