Year 1 go bear hunting

On Thursday 9 January, Year 1 girls travelled to the Town Hall to watch a live performance of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,’ adapted from the famous story by author Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury. After having a sandwich lunch, the girls took a coach into the City centre.
The story is about a family who go on an adventure to find a bear. The girls went on a fully interactive journey with the actors, through grasslands, a river (where they were soaked by water pistols!), the forest and a big storm. Eventually the family enter a dark cave where they find the bear, who fortunately ended up being of the friendly variety.
All the girls thoroughly enjoyed this interactive performance, especially where they got soaked in the river!
