The Magic of Macbeth

Year 6 girls were visited by The Young Shakespeare Company on Tuesday for a thought- provoking and entertaining exploration of Shakespeare's Macbeth.
The content was challenging yet the girls really enjoyed taking on the parts of some of the characters and helping to recreate the play with their own suggestions for the actors. The fake blood was definitely a highlight!
The Young Shakespeare Company has been coming to the Preparatory School for 24 years now and their visit remains a highlight of the Year 6 curriculum. It contributes towards
work on Macbeth later in the academic year and really helps the girls to understand the work of Shakespeare, ready for their transition to Secondary School.
