Reception girls cook up a storm

This term, one of the topics Reception girls will be studying is food and healthy eating. The lovely weather recently inspired everyone to go outside into our outdoor classroom for a slightly different ‘cooking’ experience.
The mud kitchen proved to be the perfect venue to extend culinary skills. The girls enjoyed selecting their natural ingredients from the surrounding area and milkshakes and mud pies were created using a range of utensils, and hands, for mixing.
The activity time also gave many opportunities to develop teamwork skills too.
It is clear that the girls enjoyed their first activity on our outdoor education programme and are excited to find out what they will do next.
