Parents Information Evening: curriculum and examination changes

Parents

08 September 2017

As you will no doubt be aware there have been reforms to the examinations at both GCSE and A-Level in content, structure and grading. These changes were introduced in September 2015 on a rolling programme, and the first examinations in reformed subjects were sat this summer.

For the last two academic years we have run an informal information evening for parents to give you a clearer picture of the reforms, the grading and what it means for your daughter. You will have seen from the Parent Calendar Card that we are proposing to do the same again this year on Wednesday 13 September; Dr Weeks, Mrs Rees (Deputy Head) and Miss Rance (Director of Studies) will outline how the reforms will affect your daughter. The evening is aimed at parents of girls in Year 10 and will run from 18.30; it is anticipated to last approximately 45 minutes.

If you would like to attend please could you complete the reply slip below and return to school.
