On Saturday 14 October, thirteen Year 11 students visited Inner London Crown Court to watch the London Independent Schools Mock Trial Competition.

The purpose of the trip was to give our newly-formed EHS Mock Trials team an insight into what the competition involves and to help prepare them for the Birmingham Independent Schools Mock Trial Competition taking place in January 2018.

The competition involved students between the ages of 15 - 18. They were required to learn the details of different court cases and assume the roles of numerous people involved in a trial from barristers to court clerks and even the jury. The competition was overseen by judges and other legal professionals. The girls had a very enjoyable day and are looking forward to the Birmingham competition in June.
