Netballers enjoy fantastic weekend of competition

Last Friday, 10 very excited Year 9 pupils left school for the annual netball residential at Condover Hall in Shrewsbury. It was a great weekend of netball for all those involved.
On day one, the girls finished 4th in their group after some very close and exciting matches. This put them into the ‘Cup’ competition on Sunday, where they played some previous teams as well as some new opponents. All the players showed great spirit and determination; there were lots of goals scored and some great interceptions made! The girls finished 4th in the cup competition, narrowly missing out on a medal. The players should be commended on their enthusiasm and commitment enduring 24 degrees of heat on Saturday, followed by torrential rain on Sunday!
Well done Lexi, Tea, Charlotte, Simran, Sophie, Arriella, Paula, Jemima, Tara and Daisy.
A big thank you must go to Miss Lane for accompanying the team on this fantastic weekend.
